Creation’s Intent
I made this as a home project to apply to an illustration and animation school in March 2026. The assignment was to make a comic about a meeting or crash between two objects that changes both of them forever. The story is that two aliens or gods have created a kind of sphere, but one of them accidentally punches a hole in it with it’s elbow spikes.
They are very worried that they’ve just destroyed what they were working for. But then you see from inside that the people inside are in awe of the moon that has just been created. The aliens then realize that they have made something incredible on accident. At the end you can see that this is their 27th try at making a world, but this one finally survives because of something that was not intended to happen.

I first started out by making the designs of the characters. I wanted them to be unique, but simple and easy to replicate throughout the pages. I then got to work on the sketches. I did these very quickly, not focusing on detail, but paying more attention to the composition. I didn’t want to have to think while I was rendering the final pages, so I kept it pretty much the same as the sketches except a few things. After that I painted the galaxy background and got started on the final images!
