I started this piece back in August 2025 when I was in a drawing challenge group chat. The prompt for this one was complimentary colors and I chose purple and yellow. It’s a kind of continuation of my piece “Melted Gold”. It’s the same robot or at least the same kind of robots that protects an ancient civilization. In the other image we see it being created, but I wanted this one to be hundreds or thousands of years later when you, an explorer discovers this land and stumbles upon “The Golden Warrior”. My first idea for this drawing was to add fingers at the bottom that are reaching out toward the warrior as if protecting itself from the attack. I think that would carry over the story behind this piece a bit more, so I might add that later on!
